Pistol Gang is a lo-fi bedroom pop/alternative project based in Kalamazoo, MI. All instruments and vocals are written, performed, and recorded by Connor McPherson, a process that often comes to fruition in a single day. Pistol Gang strikes an intensely familiar chord for those who have called Kalamazoo home for decades, yet speaks in a voice unique to the times. Often misconstrued as simplistic, the true depth and complexity of each song makes for a memorable piece that will get stuck in your head, an easy tune to hum. Much like abstract art, Pistol Gang can be interpreted in many ways depending on the listener. It is relatable, comforting, tragic, and uplifting at the same time. Pistol Gang is an inkling of recognition, it is being somewhere and swearing you've been there before but it was probably in a dream. It's that persistent thought that sticks with you throughout the day.
